MENTORS

We are very excited to be working with Nigel Cheney as our mentor.  He has joined our group meetings three times each year since autumn 2023, delivering individual guidance and specialist knowledge along with occasional group activities.

The role of the mentor is to engage each practitioner in a dialogue with themselves - to propose not to impose.

​

Rather than a full-stop, finished work is to be seen more as a comma, a pause for breath and reflection within the dialogue.

​

The Group places emphasis on the individual with a rigorous approach to reflection and practice and the diverse applications of the textile media
